For our Client – an international production company, we are looking for the best Candidate for the position of Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager.
The successful Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager will lead the quality function in ensuring that products and processes comply with the documented requirements, systems and specifications set by the company whilst initiating improvements in a manufacturing environment.
With a solid and detailed approach to planning and problem solving capabilities, you will have excellent communication skills and will be a motivated self-starter who feels comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team.
Working closely with the senior management team and liaising with production, sales and other departments, the Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring the plant continues to operate to the highest standard of quality performance. Also ensuring systems are continually improved and customer requirements are met to evolving standards.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Develop closed-loop quality system driven to reduce process variation and ensure plant compliance.
- Act as change agent to drive continuous improvement of production and service processes to improve quality and increase efficiency, which includes root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Formulate and maintain quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other leaders to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Develop and implement product quality plans and procedures by overseeing gauge, requirements, frequency, responsibility and methods to ensure compliance to process and product specifications.
- Direct, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure quality control of final products.
- Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability.
- Serve as customer contact for quality issues.
- Respond to, evaluate, and resolve customer complaints.
- Track and manage customer feedback regarding quality.
- Direct activities, duties, and projects of personnel.
- Responsible for all aspects of auditing, reporting on, and revising of the quality system.
- Act consistently with company culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Quality management or related field preferred,
- 3-5 years’ experience in quality or equivalent experience,
- Fluent in English,
- Experience in people and project management,
- High degree of safety awareness and understanding of safety rules and regulations,
- Strong knowledge and experience in modern lean techniques in a manufacturing environment would be an asset,
- Effective communication skills (verbal & written) within the department, plant and regional organizations.
