We are currently looking for a full time Purchasing Supervisor to join our Purchasing team. This position is ideally suited for someone looking to progress their career within an ever-expanding company.
Purchasing Supervisor / Buyer for automotive and industrial manufacture sector / Private label
Work Location: remote role/hybrid
As a Purchasing Supervisor your duties will be:
- Creation and updating of purchase orders.
- Develop profitable purchasing strategies.
- Dealing with general queries on product and pricing.
- Administrative tasks required for the effective operation of the Purchasing Department.
- Ensuring suppliers deliver to agreed timescales.
- Managing replenishment levels in line with minimum stock levels to ensure efficient delivery of products to customers.
- Liaising effectively with external suppliers and colleagues at all levels.
- Manage existing accounts and potential new accounts to ensure best price and terms and conditions are achieved.
- Identify and manage new supplier opportunities.
- Assist Senior Management in the day to day running of the Purchasing Department making sure tasks are prioritised correctly and dealt with in a timely manner.
- To assist the Company with excessive workloads and additional admin tasks on request.
- Be a part of the private label manufacturing project and process (Experience in this sector would be an attribute).

- Computer literate with a good level of Excel and Word.
- Must have experience in managing a large volume of emails.
You will also be responsible for ensuring your KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are met and are as follows:
- Ensure stocks are purchased in a timely manner.
- Manage price increases in order to minimise impact.
- Manage on-time deliveries.
- Reduce supplier base for non-critical products.
- Forecast suppliers spending and identify any action required.
- Meet with suppliers where necessary to discuss QCD performance.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday.
Supplemental pay types:
