Project Portfolio Manager / Senior Specialist in Project Management Office

The Key Responsibilities:
- Recommend and drive the implementation of the centralised IT application for project portfolio management and reporting
- Develop and implement consistent project metrics and reporting processes, tools, and standards including: scope, schedule, budget, and risk
- Execute (and support if needed) preparation by project managers of required project documentation including project business cases / schedules / budgets / other standard documents
- Support if needed, project managers with project requests, cost-benefit analysis, return on investment analysis and other related project investment analysis
- Develop a standard views on project portfolio and own the process of progress reporting both by:
- project managers
- summary overviews for company management, and drive adoption across the organization
- With support of a project portfolio management IT application create the IT demand and supply views and supporting analyses
- Support the process of decisions on projects’ priorities, of project portfolio committee, with preparation of materials/reports, as well as document and communicate decisions to relevant stakeholders
- Oversee quality of project deliverables with respect to project documentation
- Drive standardization of emerging project management best practices
- Execute key project milestones communication within organisation with support of best practice methods and IT applications (eg. Sharepoint)
Job requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in PMO in international environment with focus on IT-centric projects
- Experience in project portfolio reporting (including budgets)
- Experience in implementing project portfolio management methodologies and governance
- Experience with software packages supporting management of projects and project portfolio
- Ability to support project managers in developing project documentation to enable:
- Clear deliverables and budgets
- Clear deliverable ownership
- Clear progress reporting
- Experience auditing projects and/or conducting lessons learned sessions at project completion
- Experience with the tactical management of project issues to ensure closure and that project activities don’t get missed/neglected
- Sound skills in the area of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, MS Project
- Know how of finance and accounting issues typical for IT projects
- Ability to establish and foster healthy professional relationships
- Ability to work with a team to analyse and redesign project portfolio processes to improve performance, communication and increase the value, reliability, and predictability of projects
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Acute attention to detail, execution-minded maintains a focus on quality control
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent English (other Central/Eastern Europe language a plus)
- Master’s degree (business or IT)
