In this role, you will be working with the project management team to charge toward a more collaborative working environment at Nitro. You will be managing digital projects including but not limited to: content update, creative projects (UX, UI), media campaigns, as well as other strategic projects in order to support a global healthcare brand in their launch activities.
You will be in charge of managing timelines and budget profitability, as well as scheduling a team of expert from the Creative, Development, Marketing and Strategy team. A need for confident estimation is critical, as you will be called upon to aid in scope assessment.
The successful candidate will attend client meetings with the Account Director. A professional manner is essential, as is the ability to think on your feet. Having a creative eye is also essential, as you should feel comfortable discussing the functional design and express opinions concerning messaging, layout and general user experience.
Nitro utilises a mix of project management processes, increasing the use of Agile methods where we can. You will become part of the team driving this transition.
Primary responsibilities
- Gather and confirm requirements from the client at the project initiation stage
- Turn clients’ requirements into a project specification
- With help from domain experts prepare the estimates for a new project and participate in writing Statement of Works
- Write and maintain necessary Project Control Documentation (for example, Project Plan, communication plan, etc.)
- Organise and lead the external and internal meetings and calls, like kick-off, handover and status updates
- Identify and ensure that the appropriate resources are assigned to the projects
- Ensure all project resources log time on a weekly basis and project timesheets are checked and approved
- Ensure all tasks assigned to resources have agreed estimates and deadlines and resolve potential resourcing problems with help from the Chapter Leaders
- Keep the projects' information up to date (pipeline, projects, issues, resources bookings, project assets and documentation)
- Manage the Change control process and handle all out-of-scope requests accordingly
- Be the main escalation point for the clients, be the main point of contact for the internal team
- Be aware and monitor project profitability and ensure that projects run within a gross margin of the agreed target
- Think creatively and add value to each of your projects
- Seek to own the project 100%, provide solutions, not problems
- Motivate the project team by showing your own engagement and appreciating their contribution to the success of the project
- Proactively suggest solutions to potential problems, even if they are outside of the scope and look to help your project team
- Be accountable and responsible for the end-to-end process for your project deliverables
- Be responsible for ensuring all work delivered to the client is of the highest possible quality
About you
For this role, we're looking more for someone with a positive and proactive attitude rather than only a doer who takes assignments.
You should be proactive and suggesting solutions - not only raising problems.
You should be confident enough to challenge ideas and raise potential risks, taking ownership of the projects that you're leading from start to end.
You should enjoy working on large scale/year-long implementation type of projects, and see how we can productise, be more efficient in what we do.
You will have the flexibility to bring new ideas to the table - both internally and externally.
This would be an ideal role for a junior to mid-level Project Manager that has an interest in being more client facing, growing their commercial awareness and learning the ins and outs of a global product launch for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies.
Ideal Skills
- Having at least 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role or a project manager in a client facing position
- Experience in leading meetings and liaising with clients on a daily basis
- Comfortable with working independently and remotely with Global colleagues
- Understanding of media campaigns production (from setting KPIs, to defining key messages and engagement points, up to launching a campaign and reporting)
- Should be familiar with discovery phases (UX roadmaps/strategy, experience mapping, research etc.), planning phases (sitemaps, task flows, wireframes, prototypes, user stories etc.), learning phases (research etc.)
- Having the ability to manage change requests and avoid scope creep
- Experience in dealing with cross-functional teams and projects
- Strong presentation skills
- The Project Manager must have the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
