Position purpose
As The primary goal of a Project Manager is to lead and direct a project in order to successfully achieve agreed goals and client satisfaction. He or she holds responsibility for all aspects of the project over its entire life from concept design to final implementation.
Job description
- Develop plans using goals and objectives of the project, applicable historical information, and other available resources in order to meet expectations of sponsors and stakeholders
- Identify required resources, assembles project team, assigns individual responsibilities, builds mutual trust and encourages cooperation among team members
- Manage execution of the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve the project goals and ensure timely completion of the project
- Prepare project forecasts, regular and final project reports, and develop other documents required for project management
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate
- Motivate the project team using appropriate tools and techniques in order to increase commitment to the project objectives
- Manage risk identification and mitigation actions in order to minimize their impact of the project
- Interface with all areas affected by the project including end users, distributors, vendors and other key project stakeholders
Candidate's profile:
- Knowledge of Project Management methodologies proven by PMI PMP® or equivalent certification
- Proven experience in project management and aspiration to further career development in this area
- Knowledge and experience in Finance and Accounting / Shared Service Center / Outsourcing is an advantage
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills, tenacious and assertive, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Negotiation and influencing skills, excellent client facing skills, able to build rapport quickly in a multicultural environment
- Ability to manage conflicting time demands and multiple projects simultaneously, ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to take action and produce desired outcomes with limited direction, ambitious and result-oriented
- Fluent English and French language
