About the Role

In this opportunity as Project Lead, you will: 

 

You will be responsible for running the QA and managing the various release gates with regards to the global tax content operations on the ONESOURCE platform. This will initially focus on Corporate tax but may extend to support the Indirect tax compliance product and Statutory Reporting on ONESOURCSE platform. Please note it's 18 months contract.

  • Developing and maintaining overall project test plans including regression test plans.
  • Assisting on the project management and co-ordination of releases. Ensuring good communication between the global teams, and that releases are well managed through the quality and sign off processes.
  • Assisting in building and implementing a new reporting process in ADO
  • Working with tax development teams, to facilitate development of test scenarios that are comprehensive and easy to follow with expected outcomes, enabling the software changes to be fully tested and validated from a tax and user perspective.
  • Working in partnership with the systems development team, in testing new developments in the platform ensuring they meet the local content business requirements.
  • Working across platform and tax content teams to support automated testing processes to streamline the testing and QA processes.
  • Communicating and reporting to senior management on release status and any issues on a regular basis for each planned release.
  • Coordination with QA team members primarily based in India, ensuring the QA team develops and executes test plans correctly. In addition, you will support unit testing processes and approaches throughout tax content development teams, to ensure good quality unit testing
  • Work with product management and IT platform team, to ensure test environment readiness.
  • Ensure that QA staff follows the product test automation development methodology
  • Working with product leads to ensure that latest content and release notes are published and available to customers.
  • You will report to Regional Lead, Global Tax Compliance and Reporting based in Gdansk You will work closely with the QA and Release Management Lead, based in the UK, as well as the UK and Australian based senior management teams who lead the tax content operations.

    Your main day to day interactions will be:  with India based QA team, executing the testing and quality assurance tests and processes. The Tax Content Consultants developing the country templates. This will be the key resource for subject matter expertise, as well as release requirements and timings.

 

 


 



About You

You’re a fit for the role of Project Lead if you:

  • At least 3 years of overall software testing experience.
  • Must be very proficient with QA methodologies, Agile software testing life cycle and QA best practices.
  • Experienced in defining and executing appropriate test strategies (and technologies) depending on the given context
  • Ability to lead and mentor team members, exhibit lead-by-example style
  • Proficient in the use of software tools required in a QA role – Team Foundation Server/ADO,  quality center, Office, test automation.
  • Exhibits passion for learning and staying current on job related technologies and best practices
  • Constantly seeking new and innovative ways to approach testing challenges
  • Experience in working with cross-border teams
  • Ability to communicate technical product functions to non-technical team members
  • Adapt at all aspects of technical communications, including using presentations technologies  and software demonstrations
  • Research and investigate new automation technologies that help team to be more productive.
