AHF Europe is looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) Program Manager, who will be responsible for setting up and providing managerial support to AHF programs in Poland. S/he will help create and ensure stable operation and growth, coordination, supervision and evaluation of the Rapid Testing Program (hereinafter RTP) as well as the Refugee Health Program (hereinafter RHP) in Poland. Furthermore s/he will co-ordinates and plans work for AHF staff and contribute and ensures all work is done in accordance with standards set out by AHF.
- Helps the CPM to initiate and develop the AHF country programs in Poland;
- Assures that AHF´s core values are part of program strategy in the Poland;
- Provides managerial and technical oversight for AHF’s programs in Poland, which includes but is not limited to: implementation of AHF RTP model and people-centered approach, support to the team on the ground, capacity building, project logistics, security, and administrations, overall program strengthening and quality improvement;
- Together with the CPM will play a key part in developing, managing and monitoring the Refugee Health Program.
- Monitors implementation and provides reporting on prevention, testing, linkage in RTP and partner programs in Poland;
- Together with the CPM will develop a Refugee Health Program describing the operations in detail and the services provision to different vulnerable groups, and ensure that this manual is kept up to date to reflect changing environments and needs.
- Helps to implements AHF Europe advocacy activities at the country level and provides regular updates on changes in approaches related to HIV testing and treatment, including government testing;
- Ensures visibility of AHF programs and is involved in developing campaigns related to AHF RTP and the RHP in the Poland;
- Provide management support, mentorship and direction to subordinates;
- In coordination with the EB Team updates and delivers a culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate counselling training program;
- Coordinates training and refresher courses for AHF staff, staff of cooperating organisations and volunteers for HIV testing, counselling and linkage to care according to AHF Checkpoint training manual;
- Develops plans for expanding testers and volunteer networks through trainings, social events, etc.;
- Supports in implementing new AHF expansion plans in any location in the country as seen feasible and appropriate in a way that the approaches promote sustainability;
- Degree or diploma Medical studies/Nursing from a recognized University
Management experience within healthcare (either management of healthcare teams or facilities). - HIV or infection diseases knowledge and project management experience is essential;
- Medical experience/management of medical services desired;
- Knowledge of the local health care legal and practice framework;
- Knowledge of the organizations and services working for refugees, migrants, refugees and LGBTI community in Poland
- Experience working with refugees
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Should be in possession of a valid educational certificates; valid driver’s license is desirable.
- Needs to be sensitive to client needs, including intercultural communication and issues surrounding HIV/AIDS;
- Needs to be sensitive/ knowledgeable of the key challenges/ stressors that refugees encounter;
- Good command of up-to date knowledge and practices in HIV/AIDS treatment and care;
- Ability to provide team leadership and guidance;
- Be a strategic thinker, have good organisational and planning skills and ability to prioritise tasks and work quickly and accurately to meet deadlines;
- Flexible, proactive and able to organise work independently, as well as work in a team;
- Ability to travel within the country and abroad as per the need;
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment;
- Ability to work in a team and in multicultural environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Ukrainian in a variety of setting such as staff meetings, discussions with partners and training workshops;
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals;
