Join our Program Management Team as a Program Manager.
The role of the Engineering Program Manager is to lead development projects with emphasis on Mechanical engineering. The EPM will need to be able to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes identifying program risk and associated risk mitigation plans, required resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The EPM will need to provide comprehensive status reports, project updates, and ongoing cost analysis (as needed), issue management and resolution, and communication with product line management and customers. The position reports to the PMO Manager.
- Leading engineering project teams and managing activities associated with med-high visibility projects that are company wide and significant in risk, scope and complexity
- Interacting regularly with team members to create, implement, monitor and communicate project related goals, tasks, issues, progress and accomplishments
- Developing and revising complex project plans and budgets
- Presenting project status, risks and recommendations to senior level management
- Proactively managing changes to the project scope, identifying potential, risks, and devising contingency plans
- Coordinating and effectively partnering with global technology teams to support project activities
- Interacting with customers and vendors on a technical level, as required, to support the project process
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical field
- PMI certification will be a plus
- At least two (2) years Project Management experience is required
- Experience in Development Engineering environment and performing various engineering functions will be a plus
- Understanding of the cost trade-offs to be deal with in an industrial type of products
- Design for Sigma knowledge, Green Belt certification will be a plus
- Solid knowledge and understanding of the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process
- Demonstrated ability to perform multiple-tasks on multiple projects
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Readiness to work overtime, travel and perform other duties when required
