Position description
Radio Frequency Software department is looking for motivated professionals for the position of Product Owner of SW Architecture team. We are a part of Nokia Radio Frequency and Advanced Antennas organization. RF Software is responsible for specifying, designing, implementing, testing and maintaining radio products’ software for various radio access technologies, including GSM, WCDMA, LTE and 5G. We are working in Agile environment and are divided into self-organizing teams. Among these, RFSW Architecture is a unique team that shapes the technical solutions, writes and maintains SW specification documents and guides management decisions on all stages of RF product development starting from feasibility studies and planning through design and development up to change management and fault management. Our products are developed mainly in C++ and C on several software architecture layers, including those close to hardware, as well as on higher levels of abstraction.

Product Owner of SW Architecture team is mainly responsible for:
- Backlog management for Architecture team in close cooperation with project managers and other product owners
- Leading Scrum ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily meeting, retrospective etc.
- Committing sprint content towards Area Product Owner on behalf of the Architecture team
- Executing department Feature Development and System Engineering Processes; Monitoring process KPIs
- Assuring capacity allocation for tasks outside of sprint cycle managed within Feature Screening, Planning, Change Management and Fault Management processes
- Supervising the progress of team’s tasks and taking actions when needed; Ensuring timely realization of the tasks and high level of product quality
- Monitoring team’s load and capacity; Making mid-term projection of team’s pipeline allocation
- Building team’s Way of Working
- Contributing to evolution of internal processes; Constantly increasing efficiency of software development
- Proposing and leading internal improvement projects and initiatives; Performing business analysis, managing tradeoffs, risks, problems etc. and making decisions within the limits of authority
Requirements:
- Ability to orchestrate the work on tasks of multiple types, size, complexity, urgency and priority
- Good understanding of Agile software development and Scrum framework
- Understanding of SW development phases and SW project management aspects
- Experience in estimation and task planning
- Leadership and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and answer to escalations
- Ability to influence without authority
- Excellent communication skills
- Perfect self-organization
- Fluent English, both spoken and written
