Procurement Director – Indirect Materials

Responsibilities:
- Develop a new function from a white paper
- Lead, develop and coach Category Managers and Analysts
- Secure category sourcing strategies are created
- Promote proactive category approach to secure being in the forefront of key trends and overall development in the market
- Secure exceptional savings realisation through Category Managers
- Create and secure reporting, analytics, processess etc are established
- Introduce and manage holistic negotiations, securing that the Category team is enabled to close contracts based on lowest total cost of ownership – fulfilling quality, safety and delivery demands which contribute to DOVISTA profitability targets
- Motivate and install cross functional collaboration with Category teams as well as across SBU’s
- Continuously evaluate the Categories and secure that up-to-date and advance procurement techniques and tools are applied with an end-to-end perspective of the value chain
- Actively participate in the procurement management team
Required Experience:
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- MsC, MBA or equivalent experience (preferred area of specializations: Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain)
- International category management experience as people manager – min 5 years
- Experience in team management and development
- Experience in establishing a successful function from white paper
- Solid understanding of cost drivers within the areas of category management, and proven results
- In-depth understanding of the supply market characteristics, drivers and dynamics – with strong knowledge of strengths/weaknesses of key suppliers
- Experienced with building and executing sourcing strategies based on market data and detailed data analysis
- Experienced with supplier risk management
- Experienced with budget responsibility and performance management / KPI’s – both in relation to employees/teams and suppliers
- Industry/manufactoring understanding
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Has strong prioritization skills with focus on impact creation and value to the business

- Ready to travel approx. 60 days per year and is familiar with a heavy working schedule
