The position is open for our office in Stockholm SE as well as Gdansk PL and will report to our Procurement Senior Director. “You will join a global team spread across Denmark, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, UK, Poland, Bahrain, Riyadh and Hong Kong. Here, you will be part of the Procurement team responsible for sourcing logistics services for Arla’s production sites, warehouses and distribution centers across the Swedish market.” says Procurement Senior Director Markus Leuschen.

About the job
As our new Procurement Category Manager you will be working closely together with colleagues in Procurement and engage with Arla’s logistics suppliers, Project Management teams and the line management across our business groups, to;
- Take an active ownership of the categories: Domestic Distribution, Intermediate and Inbound transportation and Warehousing for the Swedish market and drive sourcing and supply management activities.
- Develop and drive effective procurement category strategies and execution of your category areas together with colleagues in Procurement and key stakeholders across the business.
- Contribute significantly to Arla’s business through demonstration of expert sourcing and negotiation skills, anticipating and solving issues with minimal support.
- Engage in projects, applying your procurement skills and logistic insight on strategic, tactical and operational levels, along with supporting the business on ad hoc tasks.
- Through strong and fruitful relationships with our suppliers set up resilient contingency plans to secure business continuity at all times.
- Ensure a high level of end-user satisfaction by working closely together with Arla’s logistic organisation and our dairies and sites across Sweden
In addition, you will establish, maintain and develop optimal relationships with our suppliers, ensuring that they meet agreed-upon quality standards and deliver on-time solutions and services.
Your background
Your background covers a relevant education, preferably a commercial degree at Master level, supplemented with relevant experience from a similar procurement position and you have a solid understanding of logistic services and logistics flows in an international production company. Alternatively you have solid experience from the logistics industry and have the interest and willingness to use this experience in a procurement organisation. We believe that you possess a strong drive and willingness to learn and develop.
Additionally, you have well-versed stakeholder management skills and know how to develop strong relations with people across cultural borders and with various backgrounds. This includes applying a sound business understanding, an open mindset, strong collaboration skills and the ability to adapt your communication directly to all levels of the organisation.
Personally, you see yourself as an outgoing, independently working change agent with a strong drive and win-win approach. You are motivated by achieving your goals both independently and in close collaboration with others. You are a team player who thrives in a dynamic, international work environment with many stakeholders, and are perceived as a role model on both behaviour and work competencies as well as a trouble shooter by colleagues.
Lastly, you are fluent in written and spoken English.
