Our Client one of the world’s foremost engineering and design consultancies, which Energy business has been operating for over four decades. We are currently looking for experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join team in South Yorkshire.
The person on this position will be responsible for designing complex new schemes, assuring the longevity and integrity of existing infrastructure and delivering innovative consultancy advice to core clients. You will work with clients at all levels, prepare designs from concept feasibility through to detail together with technical specifications and technically lead teams to deliver solutions including preparation of drawings, hand calculations and finite element analysis.
To be successful in this role you should have degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, at least 5 years of professional experience, skills in delivering solutions to technical problems and in-depth understanding of engineering principles. Very good command of technical English is a must. CEng MIMechE and experience of technically mentoring and developing less experienced staff would be an advantage.
