Job Summary
Reporting to an Officer an opportunity exists for a Senior Associate position working in a challenging environment within the OTC derivatives centre of excellence in Gdansk, Poland. For the right candidate this represents a good opportunity to demonstrate leadership, communication and technical expertise. They are responsible for implementing company policy, overseeing client deliverables and contributing to the development of the team and the organization.
This is also great opportunity to be involved in the development of a start-up venture in the Gdansk office. The Gdansk team will have a direct reporting line into the DCOE Ireland office.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out core and complex and custom processing activities and implement ways to standardize when possible in accordance with established procedures
- Resolve complex issues acting with a sense of urgency
- Accountable for quality, accuracy and timeliness of results
- Support the implementation of process improvements
- Subject matter expert for process. Maintain working knowledge of overall process operating model and assists with deployment of operational changes
- Assign work, determine personnel needs, oversee short term deliverables, coordinate workflows
- Deliver training and coaching to all staff
- Ensure team is achieving accuracy and meeting pre-determined deadlines
- Ensure SOPs/regulations are met and escalate as needed
- Provide performance feedback to manager for input into PPR
- Identify and report all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities
- Act in accordance with Risk Excellence as part of our Way Ahead foundation
- Perform related duties as assigned
- Interact with internal and external clients to provide comprehensive support on a global basis
- Share responsibility with manager for accurate and timely processing for deliverables, for coaching and development of staff and to ensure proper workload balancing

Qualifications
- Primary Degree or a Professional or Accounting qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working in the provision of fund administration services or have worked in another aspect of the Financial Services Industry for a number of years.
- In-depth knowledge of derivative products and market practices required
- Knowledge of accounting for derivative products
- Experience in reconciliation role
- Excellent English required. All training and reporting will be communicated in English.
