The Organizational Change Lead is key to ensuring programmes and change initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee acceptance and usage, delivering sustainable change.
Through the application of business change techniques, including communications and training, the successful, highly skilled organisational change lead will be critical to the delivery of key programmes both internally and for clients, identifying the nature and level of change impact on the business, and ensuring business readiness, and that programme objectives and business benefits are delivered.
Primary responsibilities will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize adoption and usage while minimizing resistance.
The Organizational Change Lead will work with the Jacobs’ organisation and clients’ programme teams and organizational leaders to ensure adoption, utilization and proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization in order to increase benefit realization, value creation, return on investment and the achievement of results and outcomes.
You will be responsible for leading and delivering the change strategies which underpin the change portfolio, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, both within Jacobs itself and for clients.
You will be a credible subject matter expert in supporting people through transformational change. You will also manage, develop and inspire our change delivery resource, creating a significant step change in performance to enable ‘best in class’ change delivery.
You will work closely with the business leaders and stakeholders, programme directors and managers to ensure that there is a clear and compelling vision, with clearly defined benefits.
You will engage stakeholders to understand change impacts and business readiness to adopt planned changes and realise benefits.
- Leverage a structured methodology to lead the design of a consistent change strategy to meet the unique needs of each change initiative
- Collaborate with leaders and partners across corporate functions, lines of business and programmes to develop and implement change strategies in support of projects and initiatives
- Facilitate and create deliverables related to: change vision and strategy, leadership and sponsor engagement, identifying key stakeholders, conducting impact analysis, change champion strategy, resistance management strategy, learning needs analysis, assessing change readiness, and identifying metrics to measure change effectiveness and ensure sustainability
- Model change management best practices and engage in peer learning and coaching with other change practitioners in the organization
- Partner with leaders to build and execute on executive communications approach
- Expand and fortify our change management methodology
- Matrix manage resources including change, communications, training and others
- Demonstrate exemplary and innovative communication skills.
- Relevant qualification, e.g. ONE of: Prosci ADKAR1 Model APMG - Change Management; or equivalent.
- Experience of managing, implementing, facilitating, and monitoring change on transformational change programmes.
- Superior knowledge of the principles and concepts that underpin change management and can advise on a ‘good practice approach’ to business change.
- Experience in stakeholder management on complex/sensitive programmes; and has credibility and impact with peers and leaders; and able to gain buy-in to enable change to happen through others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (including presentation) skills and a proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to identify both the overt and covert culture of the organisation and its influence on the change.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, and a high awareness of the project and programme context and discipline. Fully competent at planning, risk management, and dependency-management.
- Ability and willingness to be flexible and work with US time zone-based teams and stakeholders.
