LOCATION:
Poland: Ręszów or Katowice region
DESCRIPTION:
As Operations manager, you will work closely with and represent our management on site, implement company goals and actively help shape them. With the goal of achieving and maintaining service excellence for our customers, you are monitoring, reporting on and improving your team’s performance.
You will be responsible for the smooth running of our logistics and production in Poland with a team of currently 50-100 employees including several area managers as well as a Ukrainian remote team.
Mädchenflohmarkt offers their customers a “Concierge service”. This includes a quality check, taking pictures, writing a product description, storing and shipping the customer’s pre-loved items. We describe the processes related to our Concierge service as “production”. As Operations manager, you will oversee all production departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You are responsible for all production areas in our location in Poland and our Ukranian remote workers. You are the direct contact for the area managers and the management in Germany.
- You remove blockers in the production process and coordinate the necessary measures.
- You represent the management on site. You communicate the company's vision and take responsibility for achieving the company's goals.
- You help develop and implement processes or tools to increase (cost) efficiency and measure their success. You report the production KPIs.
- You continuously develop the teams and their performance.
- You assist the responsible departments with related HR and finance tasks. You provide other teams with data, e.g. for personnel planning and the determination of performance levels.
- You lead, support and motivate the staff on site within a time-sensitive and demanding environment.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in management positions in the area of production/logistics.
- You have a degree in business administration or STEM subjects.
- You are experienced in operations management and supply chain management.
- A basic understanding of related HR and finance processes is required.
- You have an affinity for numbers and think analytically.
- You have a proven track record in implementing improvement measures in the operational workflow.
- You are characterized by your own initiative and hands-on mentality. You proactively help shape the company's goals and do not rest on your achievements.
- You are able to motivate your employees and lead them as a role model.
- You constantly develop your team. You are empathetic, but assertive.
- You are used to working internationally. You have excellent communication skills. You are business fluent in English or German.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be advantageous.
