Responsibilities:
- To manage and develop all aspects of the warehouse operation functions for the designated location, to include people, processes and practices to deliver business objectives, targets and customer expectations
- Manage operations for designated location including process adherence, resource planning and alignment of activity to targets to ensure efficiencies and quality standards are maintained, targets are achieved and resource levels are adequate to cover all areas to meet demand
- Identify training needs and skills gaps and address as appropriate to ensure the team has the necessary abilities to maintain delivery, quality and inventory standards
- Ensure that departmental processes and standard operating procedures are up to date and maintained through regular reviews to ensure consistent application and training
- Guide the use of continuous improvement tools and initiatives within the team to ensure ways to improve warehouse operations processes and systems are continually explored
- Support any Warehouse Operations duties to ensure the team delivers the required daily output in a flexible and professional manner
- Participation in improvement activities at department/company level to enhance business performance
- Comply with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection and all those contained within the issued Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual
- Undertake other duties and tasks that may be allocated that are appropriate to the job
Requirements:
- Extensive experience of Warehouse / Logistics management
- Significant people management and leadership experience
- Some experience of implementing improvement activities
- Management related training - advantage
- Strong communication skills
- Management related training
- Fluent English
