Our client is looking for a Java developer with a minimum of 2 years commercial experience in Java software development. The successful candidate will have experience working on projects through a whole product lifecycle, including a high level of client interaction / liaison. You will enjoy opportunities to work on product road map and customisation projects whilst working closely with multi-national client base.
In addition to showing core Java development competency, you will be expected to posses strong presentation and customer facing skills, and ability to deliver a project within time-scales and to deadlines. You will be degree educated in computer science, or be able to show equivalent experience. You will be a self-starter with an ability to understand user requirements, show strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and produce strong design documentation.
- Excellent Java SE 7 (or higher) core.Previous experience working with Java EE
- Understanding of web application frameworks, such as Struts or Spring / MVC.
- Ability to work alone, leading smallteams, or liaising with other work-streams, delivering
- software to rapid fixed deadlines.
- Strong understanding of unit testing aspart of the software development cycle.
- Experience with core Java, JPA, SQL, Web frameworks
- Strong understanding of large global applications in a multi-national environment
- Understanding of 'design to scale' patterns and practical application
