Job purpose:
The purpose of the role is to support Visa Value Added Services (VAS) Unit and Visa Members in implementation of the Model and in ongoing marketing and business operations performance analysis.
Visa Europe has been working with the banking community and suppliers to address the long-standing need to bring more merchants into the electronic payment system. Visa orchestrates introduction of a new Point Of Sale (POS) deployment model to bring new merchants into the acceptance network by offering them a unique low-cost solution.
In the model terminal vendors and acquiring processors provide the Member banks with terminals, terminal deployment and servicing and acquiring processing services. Moreover, Visa creates an opportunity for banks to provide the POS terminals and related services through retail branch networks, and thus some card issuing banks would assume the role of merchant acquirers. Incumbent acquirers may have an option to sign-up merchants based on the new model offering. Visa would assume a role of a project facilitator acting via dedicated organizational unit, called VAS Unit. It is envisaged that Visa Members will contract with POS Device Suppliers and Processors and Visa will govern the principles of this co-operation and support the Visa Members in effective operations of the Model, including co-operation with vendors.
Key Accountabilities:
- Compliance control and model performance monitoring especially with regard to terminalisation progress and compliance of acquiring members with fund rules
- Perform market analysis supporting identification of in-market opportunity to grow acceptance
- Co-operation with other Visa Europe departments – Relationship Managers, Finance, Consulting
- Funding calculation and collection from Visa Members
- Ongoing fund distribution i.e. allocation to eligible Visa Members in timely and accurate fashion
- Monitoring of fund performance
- Support Marketing Manager in:
- Marketing materials preparation in co-operation with VAS Relationship Managers and Brand Manager
- On-going support to Acquirers in merchandising marketing materials
- Promotional activities - preparation and monitoring
- Internal Visa reporting
Wymagania
Essential Criteria:
- Educated to degree or equivalent professional level
- Ideally, a minimum 5 year marketing experience combined with operational experience in payment related areas in banking or acquiring industry
- Understanding of the payment services industry and Visa's role within it
- MS Office computer proficiency, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access
- English language fluency
Desirable criteria:
- Knowledge of IT system environment within acquiring business
- Experience in new product development and maintenance in banking for SME customer segments (esp. with relation to product bundling and incentive schemes)
