From Polish sales unit our Client provides construction chemicals for Poland and selected countries of Eastern Europe. Its products are used for a wide range of applications throughout the building and Do-It-Yourself industries.

Managing Director

Role summary:
The Managing Director is responsible for successful leadership and management of company according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors. This position is based in Poznan
Main duties:
- Collaborates with the Company Board to define and articulate the organization’s vision and to develop strategies for achieving that vision.
- Creates annual commercial and operating plans that support strategic direction.
- Submits annual plans/budgets to the Board of Directors for approval.
- Has full P&L, balance and cash flow responsibility of the Company.
- Develops and monitors strategies for ensuring the long-term financial viability of Company.
- Creates/Leads a strong and diverse management team.
- Oversees all operations of the organization and manages its compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provides prompt, thorough and accurate information to keep the Board of Directors appropriately informed of the organization’s financial position.
- Serves as a primary spokesman and representative for the organization and major customers. Builds strong relationships with peer organizations within the Group.
- Evaluates the organization’s and staff’s performance on a regular basis.
- Develops future leadership within the organization. Acts as a mentor for top performers/future leaders.
Requirements:
- A naturally charismatic, capable leader, able to lead and command the respect of his colleagues.
- Significant experience in managing teams in the industrial/professional sector.
- A proven track record of success, especially with regard to increasing turnover and profitability, and an understanding of the appropriate markets, distribution channels and cultures.
- Commercial thinker with great business acumen, able to create robust and adaptable business plans.
- Previously worked as a Managing Director, General Director or Business Development Director with full P&L responsibility for a substantial business unit in building or finishing materials branch.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse environment.
- Language skills: fluent in Polish (native) and English.
