- Pro-actively and on request generate insights on customer interests and behaviors as well as campaign performance for both the online and offline side of the business and feedback this information to stakeholders.
- Team up with business teams and consult them on analytics methods and on reaching out to the right customer segments at the right time; challenge the current customer segmentation approach and enhance it to maximize the value of touchpoints with our customers.
- Ensure high quality, on-time execution of customer segmentations and reporting requests in responsibility of the local team by guiding, managing and supporting junior data analysts.
- Coach local team and engage in managing stakeholders if required.
- Drive the continuous improvement of our analytics capabilities and processes to enhance their efficiency and ensure their compliance with data protection guidelines (e.g., automation segmentations and reporting with interactive dashboards).
- Engage in the enhancement of the marketing customer data strategy from an analytics and segmentation point to enable more personalized and relevant marketing messaging.
- Define requirements for our IT team to enhance the analytics data backend with a focus on customer analytics, segmentation, and standardized campaign reporting.
- Master’s Degree in sciences, mathematics, computer sciences, or similar quantitative fields.
- Successful track record in leading technical or analytics projects.
- 5+ years of experience in similar roles with a minimum of 2+ years of experience as team manager or leader in analytics.
- Very good SQL skills are required for analytics, customer segmentations and ad-hoc requests.
- Good MS Excel skills mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills able to convey ideas, facts and information effectively.
- Ability to choose appropriate analytical approaches leveraging analytics project experiences.
- Good knowledge of one programming language, e.g., R/Python, is a plus.
- Experience with CRM (e. g. Salesforce.com) and Marketing Automation platforms (e. g. Eloqua) and SAP is a plus.
- Capability to visualize results using interactive dashboards (e.g. Qlik, PowerBI) is a plus.
- Very good English skills, German is a plus.
- Outstanding analytical, quantitative and problem-solving capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mind-set, good sense of humor and strong personality.
- Willingness to travel once every 1 or 2 months.
- Superior interpersonal / team-building skills, particularly in a global / intercultural environment.
