Processing Centre Wrocław
Responsible for the technical and behavioural training of the site operational management teams. Supports the Processing Centres (PC) in developing a talented, diverse team who are empowered and engaged to achieve business goals and objectives. Delivers effective training through technical training team and subject matter experts. Acts as a mentor and coach to embed existing and transitional new managers into the PCs operation whilst contributing to the creation of high performing operational management teams and site succession plan.
- In conjunction with General manager (GM) and HR Business Partner (HRBP), devise and deliver the annual strategic site training plan
- Manage Training First Line Manager (FLM) to ensure site technical training plans are delivered.
- Manage FLM and training teams in terms of performance.
- Responsible for ensuring high quality and consistent delivery of the Development Plans within the PC.
- Coaching and supporting FLM and Shift Operational Manager (SOM) progress with regard to Personal Development Plan activity
- Support the Distribution Apprentice scheme by working in partnership with the programme manager to ensure the on-site apprentices have the appropriate direction and support
- Hold monthly review meetings with GM/HRBP to discuss progress of site training plan
- Provide coaching and support to all managers are competent in all technical and behavioural skill areas, are fully conversant with the four ways of working and have a strong focus on quality
- Provide ‘mentor’ support to new managers/graduates and support with onboarding. Review and evaluate their progress and identify solutions and support where appropriate in conjunction with Line Manager
- Use formal frameworks to assess current needs of existing management team and provide mentorship and coaching where appropriate
- Develop and maintain a technical/behavioural training matrix for all managers on site
- Provide on the job training to close any identified skills gaps within the management teams.
- Provide scheduled ongoing 121 coaching and feedback to FLMs and SOMs as required
- Create bespoke plans to support individual technical/behavioural skills development in conjunction with Line Manager.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with key contacts across other sites, head office and stores regarding talent development.
- Deliver core workshops on site when applicable.
- Implement any changes to process that impact the training function or deliver of training as instructed by Continuous Improvement Team.
- Support other UK PC’s where appropriate
- Working knowledge at management level of all areas of a processing centre or a production organization
- Good understanding and experience preparing, implementing, and operating Development Programmes
- Proven working knowledge of Health & Safety and legal requirements within a processing and/or production and/or distribution environment
- Experience of and ability to develop people through excellent coaching skills
- Ability to break down tasks, demonstrate actions and provide coaching to develop skills and performance
- Understanding of how people learn and the ability to adapt style and approach to meet individual’s learning needs
- Knowledge of team dynamics and the effects of a positive working environment
- Demonstrate the ability to coach, lead and motivate large teams to deliver results.
- Experience of working within set budgetary and performance targeted workplace
- Able to clearly communicate effectively at all levels through the exchange of clear, direct and effective messages (written, verbal and non-verbal).
- Adaptable and self-aware
- Ability to make decisions based on evaluation of risks, impact of decision on all departments and knowledge of ‘off price’ retailing
- Ability to influence peers and senior managers
- Ability to work under conditions of constant change, ensuring operational compliance and customer focus
- Very good command of English and ability to apply this skill to everyday communication at work
- Fluency with Microsoft Office
