WHO WE ARE
IMPACT Initiatives is a humanitarian NGO, based in Geneva, Switzerland. The IMPACT team comprises specialists in data collection, management and analysis, GIS and remote-sensing. IMPACT was launched at the initiative of ACTED, an international NGO whose headquarter is based in Paris and is present in thirty countries. The two organizations have a strong complementarity formalized in a global partnership, which allows IMPACT to benefit from ACTED’s operational support on its fields of intervention.
The onset of the wide-scale conflict in Ukraine on February 24th, 2022 has caused widespread damage to infrastructure and houses, hundreds of civilian deaths, disrupted markets and essential services, and precipitated massive displacement in Ukraine and into neighbouring countries such as Poland. IMPACT support the setup and scale-up of the assessment and analysis systems required to inform joint planning and monitoring by government and humanitarian actors in a complex and rapidly evolving situation.
ACTED is looking for highly qualified national staff for the following vacant position:
Position: IMPACT Longitudinal Data Officer
Contract duration: 6 months, with potential renewal
Location: Warsaw, Poland

Assignment
The Data Officer will be responsible for cleaning, processing, and analysing the data collected through interviews with refugees at border crossing points and in the reception centres.
Responsibilities:
The Data Officer will be responsible for:
Data cleaning, management and analysis
- Set up effective and adapted data management and analysis solutions
- Support sampling design, creation and management of data collection tools (ODK or KoBo)
- Ensure data cleaning, review, validation, storage and management
- Produce monthly and ongoing analysis and snapshots on trends and causal relations
- Support the drafting of information products, from presentation, to factsheets, maps and reports
- Support managing data collection team
- Overseeing data collection process and problem solving
General
- Commit to the humanitarian principles of neutrality, impartiality and non-discrimination
- Report and clarify any work-related issues and challenges to supervisor in timely manner
- Respect time including to work, meetings, deadlines and other reasonable requests
- Maintain a good team spirit and stimulating working environment amongst staff and colleagues
- Commit to honest, high quality work in all aspects of responsibilities
- Undertake any other tasks as reasonably assigned by the Assessment Officer
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English required
- Additional competency in Ukrainian is an asset
- Experience in mobile data collection
- Experience in survey data cleaning and analysis
- Excellent computer skills and sound command of R
- Good personal relationship skills and empathy
