Our Client is an international Tier 1 Automotive Company manufacturing metal parts for well known car manufacturers. We are looking for experienced Logistics Manager for it's plant located in Lubusz Region in Western Poland.
The main objective of the position is to ensure the functioning of logistics processes according to strategic plan of the plant and managing logistics department team consisting 120 people (administration team is well experienced). LM will be responsible for all supply chain aspects. There will be 3 direct reports. Reporting to the Plant Manager.
Logistics manager will be responsible also for integration and deployment of the MRP planning; managing the balance between actual inventory and delivery performance; monitoring and optimising processes incoming goods, controlling of costs, controlling delivery conditions, defining the parameters within new projects, and also for initiating and following up measures aimed at continuous improvement of the primary and supporting processes of material handling; initiating, guiding and directing improvement processes relating to logistics, Just In Time deliveries and associated ERP systems. Moreover he will be responsible for preparation and monitoring of targets for its area, ensuring that the production is made according to schedule, practices, procedures, rules, instructions and 5S discipline and also for compliance regarding Health, Safety and Environment. Key important will be also building and maintaining superb relations with company clients.
The Ideal Candidate should posses few years of professional experience in the similar position (ideally more than 5 years) in manufacturing company (ideally in automotive branch), University degree (ideally in Logistics or Transport). Having a good knowledge of ERP Systems (SAP) and following areas like: Lean Manufacturing, 5S, etc will be essential. Must have is the knowledge of Polish and English. Knowledge of German language will be an asset. Ideal candidate should posses very good people management skills. The ability to communicate effectively with people at different levels in the organization is crucial. In addition, the ideal candidate should be a person very flexible and open to change. To successfully operate in this position the candidate should be a person with a distinct personality and charisma.
