The System Administrator Linux will ensure effective releases and migration of code and applications through the development and testing environments through to live deployment on the Lionbridge internal and external platforms as well as support and maintain the platforms, both our corporate datacenters and cloud services.
Responsibilities include control of change management process, configuration management of server farms, monitoring, security reviews and application troubleshooting. The qualified applicant will become part of Lionbridge Corporate IT group.
- Plan and support deployments across multiple environments;
- Life cycle management of deployed systems and applications;
- Coordinate application driven changes to IT backend system and environments working with other Corporate IT teams;
- Identify and mitigate issues and concerns that arise in planning and development processes;
- Support the Lionbridge development, QA and project management teams working closely with all teams;
- Perform research and analysis of reported problems and issues, develop and recommend solution;
- Develops and maintains software configuration management tools and processes to support configuration identification, control, reporting and delivery of internally developed software products;
- Using automation, deploy software and server updates to Production, QA and testing servers as well as assisting the broader hosting team with IT driven changes/projects.
- 3+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator;
- Extensive experience with database administration, MySQL;
- Broad infrastructure IT, automation (Phyton/Bash) and monitoring experience;
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field;
- Very good English knowledge;
- Self-motivated and results oriented;
- Ability to work independently, plan workload and deliver on commitments;
- Proven communication and organizational skills.
