- Preparing and posting of journal entries, reviewing and posting of journals provided by business controllers and sub-ledgers (ERP system: Oracle)
- Ensuring the close process is completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Performing a high level review of both B/S and P/L accounts for errors and omissions
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Analytical review of significant movements on accounts
- Preparation of reports and analysis for the Client in a timely and accurate manner
- Providing support to the client for finance related queries
- Supporting audit of financial statements, SOX audit, internal audits as required
- Managing the preparation of all compliance documentation as defined by the client, including SOX compliance
- Building and maintaining strong business relationship with other teams, delivery lead and client teams at different levels of organization
- Assuring high quality service delivery based on Service Level Agreements and agreed KPIs
- Facilitating team work, motivating and leading to keep high quality results and efficiency, providing regular feedback on Team’s performance, encouraging innovative thinking and problem solving attitude
- Acting as the team’s career counselor
- Ensuring effective communication to address all issues and lead resolution actions
- Drive process improvements and support team members in the implementation of initiatives for improving relevant processes
- Fluent English and Spanish (minimum B2)
- MS Office skills are essential (mainly Excel)
- Experience with Oracle will be an advantage
- University degree in accounting or finance or professional qualification (ACCA or equivalent)
- 3 years of working experience in the accounting department of a multinational company
- Team leadership experience will be an advantage
- Shared service experience is a plus
- Ability to work analytically
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
- Flexibility, especially in the period of month-end closing
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
