We are currently looking for an experienced candidate to strengthen Intrusion team:
The Hardware Engineer will develop next generation solutions for the electronic security industry and will participate in maintenance of current portfolio. The initial focus will be on products for detection products.
- Develop specifications for electronic products, assemblies, and parts
- Design, integrate, document, and release to production new Security products, including panels, sensors, mobile communication devices, touch screens, etc.
- Show flexibility by performing various engineering tasks and working on projects to support the team including new product development, sustaining engineering, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Integrate existing, off-the-shelf solutions into Security specific products
- Propose and design new and improved electronic products
- Plan and perform tests to insure that products achieve performance and reliability goal
- Insure regulatory and safety compliance providing all the required information and documentation
- Resolve design and component related production and sustaining engineering problems
- Initiate changes to optimize product designs to improve production throughput and quality performance
- Redesign circuits when necessary to solve obsolescence problems
- Analyze field performance and reliability problems recommending and initiating appropriate changes
- Educated to Master of Science level in Electronics (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university
- Experience in the complete product development process, including design and project definition, development, testing, and on-time execution
- Hardware Engineering experience or equivalent coursework (design, schematic, layout, integration, BOM, ECR / ECO, test, and qualification)
- Has a solid understanding of the fundamentals of the Hardware Engineering and will work to continue developing specialized knowledge
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines (e.g., Mechanical, Firmware, Software, Compliance, Quality)
- Open and candid communication skills, demonstrate inclusive behavior, and demonstrate the ability to build trust and inspire others
- Initiate and guide troubleshooting agenda for sudden “critical” problem areas.
- Responsible for small projects or multiple tasks within the engineering functional discipline
- Makes significant contribution to their team by applying hardware engineering knowledge
- Works with moderate guidance on projects with short-term focus
- Security industry experience is preferred
- Strong analytical skills
