Junior Software Developer Academy

Your Tasks

 

During SDC Academy you will learn:

  • Object Oriented Programming in a commercial environment, applying rules SOLID, DRY
  • Programming in different languages (PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, ...)
  • Testing the code, you have written (even before writing it - TDD)
  • Using Git version control system
  • An English language daily (speaking & writing)
  • Agile Methodologies - Scrum or Kanban, creating code in a team
  • Working closely and in constant exchange with our UX/UI-design, QA, and Requirements Engineering Teams
  • Implementation, testing and profiling the highest quality front end, aligned with Google’s Material Design
  • You will get to know top tools used for software development
How the Hiring PROCESS works?

After you apply, we will review your application

  • Step 1: Our HR Team will call you and has a first contact
  • Step 2: There will be a short online Test for you
  • Step 3: We do a round with our Academy Trainer and a random Team mate

Afterwards you will get a decision

 

How long the SDC Academy takes?

Overall it will take two years!

  • 6 months to bring you up to speed
  • 18 months to gain knowledge in our live environments
  • first couple of months will be dedicated solely for learning in our Academy

Our Requirements

 

We are looking for:

  • inexperienced developers
  • programming students looking for a first job
  • programming enthusiasts, who dream of starting an IT carrier

Candidates ideally SHOULD:

  • be Team players
  • be fast learners
  • be fluent in English
  • be highly motivated
  • have some knowledge about website development (JS, CSS, HTML)
  • have some programming skills (specific language not required)

Technologies we love:

  • BE: PHP 7, Laravel 6, Eloquent, RabbitMQ, PHPUnit
  • FE: ECMAScript 6 / TypeScript, React, Redux, material-ui, jest
  • composer, npm, webpack, babel
  • GitLab, Docker
  • MS SQL Server, SQLite, Redis
