Welcome to the Backend Core Development team that is a part of Group Functions Technology. As a Java Developer, you’ll play a key role by working closely with analysts, scrum master, architects to develop the features belonging to Know Your Customer (KYC) agile release train. In addition you will be part of a vibrant community of Java developers in Tricity area and you will play a valuable role in one of the teams in KYC agile release train and will work with Solution Architects and Analysts to refine epics, user stories and translate solution architecture into technical design and working software, work according to development standards and put best practices into use.
What you will be doing:
- Using Java to develop application that is central to one of the key processes within the bank
- Working closely with other experts like Analysts, Architects, QA, in a agile work environment based on SAFe
- Participating in code reviews and design decisions with the rest of the team
- Preparing easy to read documentation for your state of art code
- Contributing to the Java Community of Practice and helping to uplift the overall development capability.

Your experience and background:
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
- Understanding and good experience of Java 8 and its application in backend applications.
- Developed applications using Spring Framework (Boot is fundamental)
- Experience of developing Microservices
- Experience of MS SQL and/or H2 (will be an advantage)
- A couple of years of experience in application development preferably in an Agile setup.
- Experience with Clean Code and Domain Driven Design
- Some knowledge of JavaScript
- Fluency in English, as it is used on a daily basis.
