Job Description:
- Monitoring and adjustments of ITIL processes (Incident - / Change -/ Problem Management)
- Administration of the required tools for ITIL processes
- Incident coordination
- Internal and end client communication
- Further tasks in the change management area:
- Table all RFCs for a CAB meeting, issue an agenda and circulate all RFCs to Change Approval Board (CAB) members in advance of meetings to allow prior consideration.
- Decide which people will come to which meeting, who gets specific RFCs depending on the nature of the RFC, what is to be changed, and people's areas of expertise.
- Chair all CAB meetings.
- After consideration of the advice given by the CAB or E-CAB, authorize acceptable Changes.
- Issue maintenance and release schedule
- Liaise with all necessary parties to coordinate Change implementation, in accordance with schedules.
- Communicate Maintenance work/service outages to the impacted communities
- Enforce change compliance throughout the organization
- Update the Change Tickets with all progress that occurs, including any actions to correct problems and/or to take opportunities to improve service quality.
- Review all implemented Changes to ensure that they have met their objectives from an operations pov.
- Refer back any that have been backed out or have failed. Review all outstanding RFCs awaiting consideration or awaiting action.
- Analyze Change records to determine any trends or apparent problems that occur.
- Close RFCs.
- Produce accurate management reports if requested.
- Coordinate change management tasks and ensure compliance from other members of the IT Support organization
- Cooperate with other team members to deliver client service (e.g. through providing back-up during sickness and vacation)
- Give the client early visibility to changes which will require action from their technical teams/users
- Manage internal and external client expectations around change requests
