The Center consists of teams responsible for driving major IT and User Experience enhancements for whole European organization, with other teams like Supply Chain, Financial Analysis & Master Data Management also establishing their operations in Gdansk.
Stibo STEP application is at the core of Staples Product Information Management architecture and supports/enables different business processes across the Master Data Management, Content Management and Paper Publishing domains for Staples Europe.
The IT Business Analyst role will be part of the STEP platform technology team which is responsible for the technical area of STEP platform. For the Business Analyst role, experience/knowledge of STEP tool is not mandatory. Necessary trainings related to STEP application and Staples processes will be provided to the successful candidate.
Critical results:
- Lead complex business requirement discussions. Gather, evaluate and document customer business needs and requirements and translate these into functional specifications
- SME of the Application & Processes
- Documentation of Functional & Solution design
- Partner with our business customers and IT colleagues to create a collaborative and mutually beneficial working environment
70% of time:
- Facilitating the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders
- Creating, analyzing, and validating detailed functional specifications
- Facilitating design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution
- Delivering elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables
30% of time:
- Identifying the current- and future-state business processes. Helping the business stakeholders envision the future and how their work will need to change to support the future
- Prepares and/or reviews end user documentation, training materials, curriculum and schedule
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to work in a geographically dispersed team across different time zones
Technical / Tools:
- Experience in Stibo STEP or similar MDM/PIM Applications
- Experience in UML
- Good experience in using MS Visio and similar tools for modelling
- Excellent MS Office Skills
- Programming/Technical QA experience is a plus
Education and Experience:
- University Degree (preferably Computer Science/Mathematics or related background)
- More than 3 years of IT work experience in software development or similar environment
- At least 2 years of experience as Business Analyst or similar position
- Working experience in Stibo STEP or other Master Data Management/Product Information Management Tools
- Work with development & QA team to ensure design and development meet requirements
- Work with project manager to meet the deadlines of the project
- Ability to deliver quality work under tight time lines
- Willing to travel occasionally
