As Inventory Specialist (EEP), we expect a skilled and service minded professional, capable of supporting our offshore rigs and onshore inventory team who are the ‘Customers’ of the Global Inventory Management function.
You will be responsible for handling and executing various inventory transactions in close cooperation with our offshore rigs, onshore warehouses and HQ inventory team. You will be a super user in our ERP system and assist requesters with process compliance and system understanding. This will require in-depth investigation to identify root causes of issues, with subsequent data cleansing, data repairs and process review in cooperation with our IT, Master Data Management and Finance team.
You will also perform HQ based Equipment Exchange Program (EEP) tasks covering equipment planning, stakeholder management, inventory investments/divestments, equipment history, cooperating with the EEP Buyer to perform follow up on equipment repairs with service suppliers and support investigations when required, furthermore supporting intercompany sales and rental transactions.
The key responsibilities of the Inventory Specialist (EEP) will be to:
- Handling and executing inventory requests in our customer service portal Connect
- Supporting process and system compliance within inventory, intercompany trade, investments, and divestments.
- Process expert for purchase type transaction (intercompany sales, services and repairs) compliance to defined Maersk Drilling processes.
- Facilitating overhaul and work orders between Program Managers and Integrity & Projects, ensuring works are performed, stake holder expectations are met and traceability of part is maintained at all times and the proper financial transactions are carried out ensuring cost control measures are performed accurately and efficiently
- Collaborating with Operations to improve the overall demand planning processes for condition managed equipment
- Ensuring that global standards, guidelines and strategic requirements are met and related strategies employed throughout the organization and driving continuous improvement and cost optimization
- Pro-actively planning future demands and inventory levels for agreed categories, via the EEP planning meetings, both in terms of new purchases but also optimizing timing of overhaul against future demand from the fleet
- Driving and monitoring compliance to Inventory policies, guidelines, establishing appropriate KPIs, and governance of Maersk Drillings condition managed fixed assets.
- Providing process and transactional assistance to all stakeholders in the rotation flow
- Performing various ad-hoc tasks related to inventory
- Formal education of minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent within supply chain and inventory or another relevant field.
- Background from a similar support position with in-depth ERP system understanding - preferably within inventory, maintenance or master data.
- Excellent English language skills (min B2/C1)
- Knowledge of working with customer support systems and ERP systems, preferably IFS
