When you’re creating technology for a changing world, you need to know where you stand in terms of your inventory. Our Inventory Management team within Materials and Procurement takes charge of the security and accountability of our inventory by documenting transactions, verifying processes and procedures and reviewing systems. We conduct physical inventories and lead cycle counts, correcting discrepancies where possible. We also audit incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure quality and accuracy.
Person in this role ensures security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Conducts Inventory Control activities related to physical inventories events and/or cycle counts. Analyzes and corrects cycle count discrepancies. Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry. The role also supports Dell’s third party operations in regards to system reconciliation, controls and auditing.
- Ensures inventory accuracy and operations; compliance with inventory controls, identifies and eliminates inconsistencies
- Analyzes large and complex data sets across multiple IT applications
- Establishes, monitors and improves processes for controlling and accurate inventory reporting
- Facilitates and/or implements material management and operational procedures related to inventory controls
- Drives appropriate root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce variation in inventory balances. Cooperates with IT on issues resolution
- Supports any additional analysis/improvement for other inventory management or controls areas affecting inventory integrity performance
- Conducts inventory control audits, drives corrective actions. Develops new audits where areas of risk are identified
- Fluency at English and Polish
- Advanced analytical skills
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Experience at analysis of large or complex data sets across multiple IT applications
- Strong organizational and improvement-drive skills
- Ability to take initiative and influence people and processes
- University degree, preferred Supply chain, Economics or IT
- Professional experience background at manufacturing or materials management
- Advanced computer skills: VBA, Access, PowerPoint, MS Office
- Experience at SQL databases will be an asset
- Strong communication & presentation skills
