Job Description:
The Service Introduction Specialist is responsible for developing project plans and estimates and for end to end project management, scoping and requirements through implementation and deployment for small and medium sized deals (in $$ or man-days) or owns work streams on major transition programs or bundled deals.The project manager proactively monitors and manages execution of deliverables.The job requires interfacing with Contract Service Delivery Manager, DC Business Operations Manager, Service Operations Specialists and the Technical Architects
The role is predominately transition and transformation type of work in UK but assignments include continental Europe if required or large scale project require multi-staffing.
Pre Contract:
- Support Business Development and Sales / Solution Architecting on Deals in early proposal stage, on transition planning and estimation, client orals, Due Diligence, etc.
Project/Phase Planning and Estimating:
- Define the overall transition scope with the Architect
- Develop project/phase plans and estimates through negotiations with the client
- Determine needed deliverables, macro approach, project profile, responsible teams, overall project schedule/timeline, critical path by deliverable, productivity improvements, overall risks and planning assumptions
- Drive/evaluate estimates by deliverable and work with teams to optimize and reduce overall estimates
- Create/consolidate project labour and expense estimate and generate work arrangement vehicles
- Work in virtual team with our IDC counterparts for estimation and planning assistance
End to End Phase/Project Management:
- Manage the project/release from Scoping & Requirements through Deploy for an end-to-end project or specific area of a project (i.e. build or test)
- Proactively manage and monitor execution of deliverables and status in an assertive manner
- Understand the fundamental solution being developed/deployed - its business value, blueprint, how it fits with the overall architecture, risks, etc.
- Escalate issues to client account management or the customer management which cannot be resolved at the Project level
- Ensure cross segment/team project issues, risks, or conflicts resolution is occurring
- Manage critical path, dependencies, contingency, scope/change requests, and overall budget performance
- Eliminate road blocks, proactively, in the critical path to help ensure successful delivery
- Ensure the project members are effectively managing dependencies, budgets, and schedule
- Ensure the customer expectations are understood and managed
- Report and manage overall project /release status back to the customer and account Leadership
- "Own" all projects deliverables, "ensure" proper communication between teams and quality levels - Responsible for end to end solution delivery
- Ensure Peer reviews are occurring and address findings for the project
Implementation Planning and Management:
- Create the Implementation Plan and manage the overall implementation effort with input from all the other Segments
- Verify all implementation compliance documentation is complete and appropriate approvals have been obtained to move to production
People Management and Development:
- Mentor and provide guidance to project resources and if required within Service Introduction team
Process Capability Development and Special Initiatives:
- Comply with capability/process certification requirements by following standard methods and processes and ask for support if they don't apply
- Ensure the project is following the playbook and looking for ways to improve productivity
Successful candidate will have experience of infrastructure services & outsourcing engagements. They can confidently and credibly engage in discussions with client and Accenture operations peers and devise, mobilise, and run the appropriate projects to transition services or resolve client & internal operational challenges.
Have a good understanding of issues faced by IS outsourcing engagements today and in particular value creating efficiencies that help drive client business improvements. They will have worked on outsourcing and/or infrastructure engagements previously with a record of success. The Mobilisation Specialist will have a good understanding of project management and delivery methods and service management, as well as knowledge of technology & infrastructure support. They will need to be able to develop and manage projects including setting out clear objectives, scope, plans & milestones, outcomes and business benefits modelling.
