As an ICT Administrator, you manage and monitor applications, network and storage. You ensure that hardware and software are working to produce the highest level user experience. You perform technical work installing, operating and providing support for local and corporate networks, personal computers, storage and the PBX. Your work is performed under the general direction of the Resources Director.
- You oversee the daily operations of IT infrastructure
- You support, design, maintain and evaluate computer networking along with telecommunication systems
- You install, configure and maintain physical servers and virtual computer servers
- You manage all network servers and other network components including installation, configuration and maintenance
- You develop and maintain network security procedures: you add, remove, and change authorities for network users
- You monitor storage capacity at group level and you implement back-up procedures
- You resolve problems reported by end users for local and corporate network, personal computers and networking equipment (switches, routers, etc.) and you provide answers to complex questions related to these systems
- You monitor and measure the performance of the IT infrastructure and report problems timely and adequately
- You plan and oversee system replacements and upgrades
- You maintain documentation of the ICT infrastructure
- You deploy corporate applications and updates thereof
- You assist the other members of the IT department in the daily support at the group level.
- You have a proven expertise in the operations and support of personal computers and local area networks
- You master standard networking protocols, LAN and WAN products and protocols
- You are proficient in managing both Linux as well as Windows operating systems
- You are able to communicate in English language both verbally and in writing
- You are able to analyse and troubleshoot technical and computer-related problems
- You are customer minded and passionate about technical matters
- You are problem solver with strong analytical skills
- You are a good team player, who is both flexible and adaptable under pressure and you are able to build and maintain good working relationships
- You are disciplined, methodical and autonomous
- You are willing to travel. The work will be primarily done from home/office premises but regular travels to Brussels/Luxembourg is needed, e.g. once per month for 4 days
- Must be Linux oriented with knowledge of Windows systems.
- Technical Skills: Server or workstations Hardware
- Nice to have VOIP: Asterisk, Xivo, Aastra, Snom
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or related area
- At least three years of experience in ICT Systems administration
- Technical skills OS: Linux (Debian, Oracle), Windows Server
- Technical skills Networking: IPv4, IPv6, VPN, IPSEC, DNS
- Technical skills Applications: Apache, Koha, MediaWiki, Zabbix, Ansible
