Permanent Secretariat of the Community of Democracies is looking for:
The Community of Democracies is a global intergovernmental coalition of states, founded in the year of 2000 to bring together governments, civil society and the private sector in the pursuit of a common goal: supporting and strengthening democratic norms, practices and institutions around the world.
The HR Manager will be assigned to the HR matters in the Unit of Administration , HR and Finance at the Community of Democracies Permanent Secretariat (PSCD) based in Warsaw. He/she will be responsible for human resources matters in the organization.
- Responsibility for HR policy within an organization,
- Responsibility for all aspects of the recruitment process including developing job descriptions, preparing job adverts job posting, scheduling interviews, screening, interviewing, reference checks, offers and on boarding.
- Ensures all applicable systems and paperwork are maintained and updated accordingly,
- Distributes and maintains new hire packets and applications,
- Monitor and prepare the performance appraisal process,
- Preparing staff handbooks. Processes verification of employment forms and letters when necessary,
- Responsible for updating and distributing HR forms,
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned,
- Provides assistance with employee benefit enrollments,
- Preparing documents related with employment and terminations,
- Maintaining employee records,
- Developing with line managers HR planning strategies which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements,
- Planning, and sometimes delivering, training - including inductions for new staff,
- Employee relations managing absence, disciplinary, grievances, sickness etc. Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement,
- Training: implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement,
- Policy & procedures implementation of new HR policies, procedures and processes,
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law. Ensure line managers are up to date with changes to any policies.
- Master's degree in HR, law, management or administration related field,
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR matters,
- Strong knowledge of SYMFONIA system (modules: HR and Payroll),
- Proficient English (C1/C2 level),
- MS Office (mainly Excel) skills are essential,
- Highly developed analytical skills and ability to work within a problem solving environment,
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills,
