The primary responsibility of this position is to provide proactive resourcing HR advice and guidance to Executives, Leadership Team and colleagues at all levels to facilitate Business Plan delivery.
In this business critical role, you will be working in a dynamic environment, interacting with multiple stakeholders and teams from different regions to understand business needs and organizational strategic priorities, establish standards and practices and, devise the HR strategy for one of the fastest growing nearshore development canters of Cognizant in Continental Europe region.
You will act as a trusted Head of HR for business teams and enable the HR Business Partners to deliver their roles and responsibilities. Ensure managers and employees of the business understand the company policies and procedures, applying them fairly and consistently across the organisation
This role will require you to travel within our Polish offices periodically
Key Responsibilities:
- Consults with Management to understand and develop the business strategy, provides thought leadership and translates this to HR Strategy to support the growth
- Provides leadership and consistent HR guidance to managers and employees and, to the overall HR team to deliver high quality
- Provides leadership and guidance on end-to-end HR initiatives and operations
- Examines the policy, strategic planning and external trends with long and short-term perspective
- Instils a continuous improvement culture at all levels of the team
- Engages and collaborates with other stakeholders like C&B, Recruitment and Training to develop best-in-class ecosystem for employees to perform effectively
- Develops Career and Leadership Development strategy merging the organization-wide programs and local best practices
- Continuously evolves your industry knowledge, regulatory issues and changing business environment in order to adjust HR programs, policies and practices in an effective and complaint manner.
- Ensures absolute compliance to Polish labour code on all aspects of HR processes and policies
- Oversees labour inspection, audits and legal consultation matters and provides consistent guidance

- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to professionally navigate in unfamiliar circumstances
- Demonstrable track record of success as HR Manager, minimum 10 years
- Strong HR expertise in areas related to employment legislation, people management, diversity, conflict resolution and change management with the ability to apply to complex business situations
- Reliable practical experience in design of various HR processes, their further development and efficient implementation into the company life
- Preferable - Experience in IT/Shared Services/BPO
- Fluency in English and Polish
- Education to minimum Master’s Degree & formal HR qualification
