TJX Europe expects that this new facility in Wroclaw North (Psie Pole) will create up to 1000 jobs over the next five years.
Due to our growth in Poland for distribution and preparation centre in Wrocław we are looking for a
Health and Safety Manager
As a Health and Safety Manager you will effectively co-ordinate and manage the health and safety function across the distribution site. You will promote health and safety best practice and a safety aware culture throughout the distribution centre by devising and delivering safety programmes and initiatives.
YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ownership of site SHE plan
- Implementation and management of incident controller file and health and safety reporting procedure
- Keep up to date with legislation, regulations, best practise in relation to current and future health and safety issues with a view to identifying any necessary actions
- Make timely recommendations and plans following any external investigations or audits
- Lead the identification, implementation and delivery of site/team health and safety induction and training programmes
- Provide first line health and safety advise / guidance to line managers
- Ensure a proactive and planned approach to accident prevention, safe working practices and health promotion.
- Manage first aid facilities and ensure first class provision of facilities and support to the business.
- Review current risk assessments and implement action plans were required to ensure full compliance and understanding
- Implement and manage full audit system to include relevant training / support for managers
In order to implement these responsibilities you must have:
- Postgraduates studies – University Degree Health & Safety - Health and Safety Officer
- Experience in manufacturing preferred (3+ years ) – especially in an international environment
- Experience in green-field projects is an advantage
- Detailed and up-to -date knowledge of current and forthcoming H&S Polish and EU legislation
- Experience in providing Health & Safety training for employees
- Good analytical and reporting skills
- Be able to build an effective working relationships across the business at all levels
- Demonstrating “hands-on” health & safety management experience
- Ability to adapt to changes quickly
- High self-confidence and ability to make decisions quickly
- Fluent command of the English language in writing and speaking
