Requirements:

The job incumbent is responsible for the management and steering of the department “Shared Services IT & Automation” which encompasses the IT responsibility for the global center technology (systems &infrastructure), SAP core systems as well as the center of excellence (CoE) for Automation & Robotics. A team will be established for each area (mentioned above), consisting of IT-, SAP- and automation/robotics/AI experts. The job incumbent manages and governs three sub departments by providing appropriate steering structures in order to ensure the reliability of operation of the distinct systems. Additionally further development, process harmonization, standardization and automation will be promoted in accordance with business requirements. The teams will be managed in strong cooperation with process owners, delivery centers as well as other customers and departments of the Group.

 

IT Strategy:

  • Contribute to the development of the overall IT strategy reflecting the business requirements in the area of responsibility supporting all shared services processes
  • Develop, agree and implement the IT strategies for Shared Services IT, IT Infrastructure, Automation & Robotics and SAP Core in alignment with the overall IT strategy
  • Design and manage the IT domain architecture and the respective application portfolio across the group
  • Consult global service centers in their automation and robotics strategy
  • Implementation and execution of the Information Management processes in the area of responsibility, coordinating corrective actions where needed in alignment with the overall IT processes
  • Drive standardization of IT processes within the area of responsibility

 

Information Technology Management:

  • Ensure operation and maintenance of the assigned applications and global Service Center IT infrastructure (e.g. SAP Customer Relationship Management, Jira, Confluence, Electronic Workplaces and WAN/LAN/WiFi/Skype/telephony infrastructure with around 2.000 users: administrative processes, operational support, change management, SLAs through own team and suppliers
  • Ensure close communication to internal customers and advise business on streamlining and standardizing existing processes or introducing new ones in order to constantly improve the efficiency of business processes, contributing to the definition of business projects
  • Manage the responsibilities and tasks within the sub departments and distinct projects while keeping leadership oversight
  • Identify, analyze, evaluate, monitor and control task areas within Shared Services IT and SAP Core
  • Drive automation by providing Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence as a service
  • Negotiate contracts with 3rd parties within area of responsibility in close co-operation with IT procurement and the IT supply management responsible

 

Innovation

  • Drive automation/innovation in the area of responsibility in order to ensure competitiveness and contribute to automation/innovation in other departments
  • Enable Shared Services and Platform to achieve their cost and process targets with appropriate digital IT solutions
  • Steer implementation of IT projects within the assigned area of responsibility

 

Leadership

  • Ensure that the distinct areas of responsibility are properly organized, staffed and directed
  • Secure the proper planning of capacities for all relevant tasks for the day-to-day operation as well as projects
  • Guide, motivate and develop the directly and indirectly subordinate employees within the human resources policy
  • Plan, implement and control the cost and project budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations

Responsibilities:

  • Min. 8-10 years of relevant professional experience (including min. 5 years of experience on managerial position)
  • Excellent understanding of basic principles of software development in particular in an SAP environment (ERP/BW) and robotics
  • Business and process knowledge (finance, procurement, logistics, HR)
  • Experience of working in an international environment
