LM Wind Power is looking for an innovative global manager to be responsible for the industrialization of service equipment, access methods and processes as well as Service outsourcing.
Develop new equipment and methods for service
Reporting directly to the Senior Director Global Operations & Service, you will get responsibility to drive a wide range of industrial engineering and service activities. You will take lead in projects finding engineering solutions for new access methods on- and offshore, new developments for field efficiency, new repair processes etc. You will be located in one of our plants in either Poland or Spain, where we have a substantial service operating unit. Newly established position
This is a newly established position as part of our new strategy for service, and we are looking for a candidate who wants to make and influence on our future service offer. You will review and propose new innovative methods for blades inspections for On & Offshore applications and implement it for specific regions and at the same time reducing the overall costs. Additionally, in collaboration with blade climbers’ specialists you will define and propose suitable equipment capable of meeting the new blades parameters while reducing total mobility times. Furthermore, the successful candidate is expected to analyse and propose new repair processes for quicker and easier handling, and allowing for extended work period during the year. Another important part of the job is to drive the outsourcing strategy, and carry out supplier qualifications as required. You will support our regions with professional resolutions for On and Offshore equipment challenges.
Close contact with internal and external stakeholders
You will interact with a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders, such as our regional service operations managers, subcontractors and customers. For example, you will negotiate contracts on behalf of LM Wind Power with sub-contractors.
Your background
We expect that you have a degree in engineering or operations management or similar. You have 5-7 years’ experience in the wind energy, blade manufacturing or service industry, and at least 3 years’ experience from a managerial role. You have experience working with lean methods and optimizing work processes. Specifically, you have an in depth knowledge about access methods from the wind service business.

- You have the ability to execute projects on time and on budget
- You have a mature communication style, and can communicate well with stakeholders on many levels and different cultural backgrounds
- You have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Finally it is important that you are able to think critically, you have strong analytical, organisational and problem solving skills and an engineering mindset. Naturally, you are fluent in English.
