- Ensure all GL month-end preparations, which include task sheets, monthly work folders
- Identify training gaps and provide continuous SAP and process training to GBS Accounting and Finance team to enhance others knowledge of the processes and system matters
- Provide expert advice on relevant SAP modules to both internal and external customers, provide possible solution, enhance others understanding and ensure accurate processes are being conducted
- Assist Team Lead in putting together monthly KPI's and manage the governance process & related controls
- Ensure all GL month-end preparations, which include task sheets, monthly work folders
- Perform global Trial Balance and IFRS checks during each month end, and verify movements in retained earnings accounts, running in SAP and storing evidence in the TL month end checks folder. Highlight any balances to TLs, investigate and contact relative parties in order to resolve before close
- Lead bi-monthly meetings with your consolidation team to review the process, identify learnings and implement improvements
- Work with the Team Leads and Specialists on process improvement projects.
- Have a University degree (Accounting or Finance)
- At least 3 years experience in a multinational company (preferably in a Shared Service Centre multifunctional role (i.e. AR/AP/CM/GL))
- Experience in an GL accounting related role
- Strong command of English Language
- Have SAP experience essential (FI and CO) ideally in SAP 4 HANA
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Good presentation and analytical skills
