GBS Functional Development Lead is responsible to define and govern a consistent functional onboarding and capability building process strategy. S/he determines functional training objectives by conducting analysis of overall functional / organizational needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. S/he will provide effective capability building solutions to GBS employees that cover both functional / technical as well as behavioral development needs, delivered through multiple channels (e-learning, webinars, classroom, on the job). The incumbent provides day to day leadership of the GBS Functional Development team.

- Identify and assess the functional / technical development needs of the organization through job and skills gap analysis and consultation with line managers
- Design, implement and measure effectiveness of Functional Training & Capability Development programs reflecting business needs
- Define, develop and deploy a harmonized functional onboarding program to ensure consistency across GBS organization
- Apply effective and purposeful learning and development methods and solutions
- Implement, maintain and report on KPIs for functional training portals and databases
- Select and manage resources, including working with both internal stakeholders and training vendors to develop and deliver learning solutions
- Keep abreast of learning trends, developments and best practices
- Motivate, coach, mentor and manage the team, reporting directly, indirectly and matrixed into the incumbent
- University degree in human resources or a related field. Knowledge in lean management, education, training, or any other people development-related field is strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience leading, creating and implementing functional / technical capability building or operational excellence programs, in large multi-function sites
- Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools
- Strategic and creative mindset
- Fluency in English
- Business-minded with strategic outlook and long-term vision, who can implement plans effectively and manage details well while not losing the “big picture” view
- Have the ability to simplify complexity in order to improve business performance and embrace change proactively
- Possess solid influencing and negotiations skills, being able to influence major stakeholders inside and outside the organization in a planned, well informed way
- Strong communicator, a true networker with effective interpersonal and analytical skills, who likes to build strong and trustworthy relationships
