The Functional Development Advisor acts as an individual contributor to support the GBS Functional Development Lead in defining and governing a consistent functional onboarding and capability building process framework and policies in assigned GBS centers. The incumbent will report directly to the GBS Functional Training Lead and will support developing, planning and executing functional trainings, functional onboarding and capability building programs. Responsibilities include: assisting GBS functional teams in analyzing/developing and/or updating functional training requirements to include position-based training curriculum, coordinating/supporting/conducting the trainings & deploying programs internally or with help of 3rd parties, maintaining training records for employees, revising/writing standard operating training procedures and other types of documents that define functional training and functional onboarding processes. The incumbent will collaborate with respective GBS functional teams to evaluate functional training needs and develop or enhance current offerings and procedures.
- Learning process: Support the lead and provide inputs for learning needs analysis based on the insights gathered from the functions. Analyzing the data gathered and create learning portfolio plan including dept. trainings,cross-functional trainings, academies,cross-functional programs etc. Ensure delivery of the plan across all the centers including all the operational process (scheduling, bookings etc.). Sourcing of the right vendors (decision making with lead), vendor management and evaluation. Promotion of the existing trainings and programs and communication of the calendar in GBS Navigator tool. Alignment of the created content to drive learning culture. Effectiveness of the delivered trainings and programs. KPIs definition, post survey to Identify gaps and areas for improvement in existing training procedures.
- Skill based talent development: maintain updated skillset based on functional needs in line with organization changes. It should be reviewed as and when necessary according to the plan. Ensure the GBS navigator is up to date and reflects all the necessary changes. Update proper links to other programs (gloal & local trainings), skillset update, talent resourcers and projects as necessary. Ensure user friendly interface and connection to the talent mgt solutions within wider JTI. Ensure the proper curation of learning solutions are relevant and reviewed periodically.
- Functional onboarding: Ensure the functional onboarding framework is well established across oneGBS and updated as required. Collaborate closely with the business and stackholders to ensure proper knowledge management practices are defined and applied. Ensuring the proper governance with standardized approach is followed across oneGBS. Act as a point of contact in case of framework questions.
- Project management: Take accountability for the assigned programs and products and execute project management for planning and deployment projects across GBS. Ensure the respective assets to communicate the developed programs/tools/products is drafted and well prepared according to communication standards. Ensure that the relevant stakeholder are engaged and updated about the developments happening in respective areas. Follow the agreed within the team methodologies: Agile, usage of Kanban or other project mgt methodologies.
- Business partnering: Stay close to the business in order to develop trust based relation. Driving constructive and proactive approach with assigned stakeholders )e.g. CPMs, local P&C etc). Ensuring the regular business engagement plan is in place and necessary meetings are carried out with assigned represnetatives of other functions timely.
- People management in matrix organization: Recruit, motivate and guide thel development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent (cross-functional projects across GBS)
- Bachelor's Degree, education, training, or any other related field is strongly preferred
- 3+ years of experience creating and implementing functional/technical capability building; projects management; experience in program development, training delivery, experience implementing both e-learning and blended learning solutions; experience in working with Microsoft software applications for development of training tools
- Fluent in English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with creating training materials in PowerPoint or other presentation formats
- Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with cross functional teams in identifying training requirements/solutions
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple projects
