Fund Accounting Analyst

Hedge Fund Accounting is a new initiative being launched by BNP Paribas Securities Services in Warsaw. You can be part of this newly created team who will transfer new process from Dublin to our Warsaw office. This is a unique opportunity to gain new experience, expand your knowledge and skills in multinational environment.
We are looking for over 10 new employees with positive attitude and strong motivation to develop their careers in Financial Services.
As a part of the new Accounting and Valuation team (A&V) your aim will be to produce the Net Asset valuation (daily, weekly and monthly) for our clients.
Fund Accounting Analyst
Location: Warszawa
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reconciling and reviewing trades, positions and cash in line with client agreement
- Monitoring corporate actions and processing dividends at each valuation point
- Collating, reviewing and independently verifying portfolio pricing and ensuring all variances are investigated and escalated
- Preparing final trial balance, accruals and expenses on funds to ensure that information on account is up to date and complete
- Conducting payment instruction for fees and expenses and act as signatory for the approval of payments when required
- Liaising and working with the Investor Services team to ensure accurate recording of our shareholder capital activity within Geneva
- Preparing comprehensive and accurate audit files for fund yearend reporting
- Preparing administrators reports for inclusion in board meeting documentation
- Recommending opportunities to enhance client focused service delivery where appropriate
We are looking for you, if you:
- have University degree in Finance, Economics or similar
- poses 1 - 4 years of experience working in the fund services industry
- have proficient command of MS Office
- are fluent in English
- are aware of the needs of clients and have an ability to deliver an excellent client service
- are self-motivated and able to work effectively on your own and in a team
- are accurate and have attention to detail
- have proficiency command of Advent Geneva, Advent Partner and new Transfer Agency System (would be an advantage)
