The Role:
Our rapidly expanding Wroclaw office is offering multiple graduate level opportunities within the area of Fund Accounting.

You will take a position of Fund Accountant and will be assigned to the development program within BNY Mellon University which combines classroom and on the job training. You will be thoroughly trained in the key areas of fund accounting, enabling you to assist in the completion of net asset values (NAVs) for client funds in accordance with BNY Mellon standard operating procedures. You will learn about our different funds, our clients and why BNY Mellon is such a great place to build a long term career.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and calculate accurate NAVs across all funds within deadlines,
- Adhere to BNY Mellon standard procedures and controls,
- Prepare cash and asset reconciliation's for review and sign off by Supervisor,
- Perform price tolerance checks,
- Communicate any operational issues that arise to Supervisor,
- Maintain daily/monthly files as selected by fund Supervisor in a manner suitable for future review by Supervisor and internal auditors,
- Provide non-daily services to all clients as directed by Supervisor,
- Ensure client concerns/requests are addressed as soon as possible and within an agreed timetable,
- Keep Supervisor informed of any issues and their progress and highlighting any client concerns/complaints as a matter of urgency,
- Ensure client specific monthly checklists as allocated by Supervisor are completed according to the agreed timetable for review
Key requirements:
- Degree (or Masters) level in any discipline. Finance, Economics and other business related subjects are preferable however we welcome applications from any subject discipline (even humanities) as we offer first class training
- Fluency in English is essential with strong communication skills
- An interest in building a long term career in financial services
- High level of attention to detail and professionalism
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- PC literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluency in Polish is preferable, but not essential
