The Warsaw office was established in 2008 and comprises of two business lines, a dynamically growing International Operations Centre (SSC) providing asset and fund services for a number of locations across Europe and local custody & clearing business offering broker-dealers, global custodians and investment banks a full local clearing, settlement and custody solution in Poland.
For new activity within BNP Paribas Securities Services in Poland which is an exciting, dynamic and growing operation centre in Warsaw we are looking for candidates who are willing to apply for the position of:
Fund Accountant (in Milan Team)
Location: Warszawa
(up to 6 months international training in Italy is to be expected)
Responsibilities:
- Daily accounting of the assigned funds,
- Respecting Italian regulatory and funds' managers rules (tax, fees etc.),
- Checking & processing of corporate actions according to funds' portfolio and market practice,
- Understanding financial instruments and their accounting rules,
- Being the first reference point for all involved parties,
- Reconciling custody accounts,NAV calculation and controls delivered on time,
- Ensuring the correctness of accruals (control and recalculation), i.e., expenses, dividends, interest, performance fees etc.
- Processing forward and spot FX transactions,
- Processing subscriptions and redemptions,
- Respecting and updating procedures and check list according to business evolution.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of Investment Fund Industry and Securities Market
- University degree in Finance, Economics or similar is necessary
- Previous experience in Fund Industry will be an asset
- Knowledge of accounting application Multifonds FA will be much appreciated
- Fluency in English as working language (basic knowledge of Italian language will be an additional value)
- Accuracy & analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills & ability to work effectively as a team player
- Computer literacy in MS Office (very good knowledge of Excel)
