The Warsaw office was established in 2008 and comprises of two business lines, a dynamically growing International Operations Centre (SSC) providing asset and fund services for a number of locations across Europe and local custody & clearing business offering broker-dealers, global custodians and investment banks a full local clearing, settlement and custody solution in Poland.
For new activity within BNP Paribas Securities Services in Poland which is an exciting, dynamic and growing operation centre in Warsaw we are looking for candidates who are willing to apply for the position of:
Fund Accountant for UK funds
Location: Warszawa
(up to 6 months international training is to be expected)
Purpose of Position:
To contribute to the successful delivery of agreed reporting requirements in accordance with client service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- For an agreed population of open ended funds, produce deliverables including, but not limited to:
- Daily transactions booking in accounting system
- Reconciliations of accounting records versus custody positions
- Daily Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations
- Distribution calculations
- Preparing monthly trustee / control packs
- Management service charge calculations
- Performance fee calculations
- Portfolio turnover calculations
- Yield calculations
- Timely completion of internal team management information
- Participate in client and internal change activity
Requirements:
We are interested both in experienced professionals as well as new graduates. The level of the position will be adjusted individually basing on candidates' professional skills and experience.
- University degree in Finance, Economics or similar is necessary
- Accounting skills and knowledge of financial instruments or willingness to learn
- Previous experience in Fund Industry will be an asset
- Fluency in English as working language
- Excellent communication skills & ability to work effectively as a team player
- Computer literacy in MS Office (very good knowledge of Excel)
