Unique opportunity for a Financial Reporting Manager to join an international provider offinancial services with offices in Krakow.
We are currently seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Financial Reporting Department.
The Manager allocates tasks and workload to the Financial Reporting Representatives, Senior Representatives and Supervisors to ensure the timelyand high-quality preparation and review of statutory annual and semi-annual financial statements and board packages. The Manager devises and participates in cross office projects to improve the efficiency, quality and accuracy of the department's deliverables and ensure that changes to relevant legislation and regulations are incorporated into the bank's internal processes. The Manager is responsible for maintaining solid working relationships with other areas within the company, Kraków and globally.
As the Manager will have a key responsibility for communications to regulators, compliance, internal audit, the Manager is responsible for ensuring that the department's internal procedures are current, complete and reflect the best industry practice.
Your duties will include:
- Undertaking responsibility for day to day operations in the Financial Reporting department and acting as a client escalation point for all matters relating to financial reporting
- Managing the preparation, review and filing of statutory reports
- Reviewing and updating department procedures to ensure they are current, complete and reflect best practice
- Assisting in the evaluation and development of enhancements to the accounting system to automate procedures for financial reporting purposes
- Managing timely and appropriate feedback, appraisal and career planning of team-members
- Developing and maintaining a strong familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and interpretations governing financial statements and disclosure, including Irish GAAP, US GAAP, Lux GAAP, IFRS, Companies Act, UCITS Regulations and International Accounting Standards (IAS)
Keeping team-members informed of new industry developments relating to financial reporting disclosure requirements.
The position requires ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification followed by minimum 4 years experience in financial report preparation including 2 years people management experience. Applicants should demonstrate excellent management, leadership, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English is essential.
