Finance Manager (R2R)

Responsibilities:
- Manages record to report processes for EMEA region in 2 main areas: VAT Accounting & Reporting and Payroll Accounting.
- Manages a team of finance managers and supervisors that typically support a moderately complex business unit in accounting areas.
- Coordinates and monitors the work of teams delivering R2R operational services.
- Develops and updates the policies and procedures to ensure the compliance with local and US GAAP legislative requirements.
- Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of assigned processes and analysis to the business.
- Liaises with Internal Controls team & auditors lends the right support to enable timely completion of controls testing. Own the mitigation plan for audit observations and drive open issues to satisfactory closure.
- Delivers on KPIs and drives improvement to provide a transparent view on the balance sheet accounts, drives closure of open items with clear action plan. Ensures high Quality Assurance scores are met
- Owns identified SOX controls and secures compliance in the operating environment.
- Responsible for hiring, setting goals and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development.
- Drives high employee engagement and training plans for new hires.
- Ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.
- Creates new operational efficiencies and cost savings within the organization using process improvement.
Education and Experience Required:
- First level university degree with a focus in accounting or finance with Shared Services work experience.
- Advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
- Typically, 8+ years of experience in accounting/finance functions.
- Good understanding of internal control environment around the listed accounting functions.
- Typically, 4+ years of people management experience in finance, managing analysts/team leads/supervisors’ roles.
- Experience in an integrated offshore business finance support model would be helpful.
