Currently the center is seeking candidates for the position:
Responsibilities:
Management
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee the operations of the finance department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
- Responsible for compliance with local financial and legal regulations
Controlling
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards (IFRS and Polish) and regulatory requirements.
- Being responsible for Account Payable, Accounts receivable and Treasury.
- Responsible for compliance with tax regulations including the signature of tax returns (VAT and CIT)
Funds Management
- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment
- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
- Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company's borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions
- Maintain banking relationships
Budgeting
- Manage the preparation of the company's budget
- Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
- Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction
Financial Analysis
- Interpret the detailed company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities
- Review company bottlenecks and recommend changes to improve the overall level of company throughput
- Compile key business metrics and report on them to management
- Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management
- People Management
- 6 FTE: accountants and financial analysts
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in finance or accounting
- Familiar with Polish finance / tax law regulations
- Familiar with Polish and international accounting standards
- Excellent knowledge of excel and financial systems (SAP preferred)
- At least 14 years of experience in finance with progressive responsibilities, gained in an international environment, including at least 7 years of people management experience
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant preferred
- Ability to work efficiently with management team and business partners
- Good communication and people management skills
- Very good level of English
- Self-started and ability to take initiative
- Good verbal and written communication/presentation skills
