The Field Sales Specialist (FSS) will report to the Field Sales Manager and have regular interaction with sales marketing, customer service and other support groups. The FSS is responsible for developing and establishing relationships with end users and distribution and generating end user demand primarily in General Industry and Motor Vehicle Industry. This business typically requires a very hands-on approach to meet the customer demands and best local competition. The FSS will have responsibility for the Cleco branded tools, with primary focus on the cordless platform.
The successful candidate must be resourceful and self-confident with a stress-tolerant, flexible and resilient attitude. The role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to easily build credibility to influence and drive approval from stakeholders at various levels. - Ownership and development of a geographic territory
- Build strong relationships with the end user and distribution partners
- Develop expertise to conduct technical sales presentations & demonstrations
- Present to key end user decision makers with new application solution recommendations
- Work collaboratively with Cleco Sales Managers and Application Specialists on joint sales activities
- Participate in end user shows and activities
- Communicate progress and updates via emails, customer planning documents, sales documents and reporting as needed
- Manage daily schedule as well as longer term planning and scheduling for key customers and projects
- Use CRM system to track all activities and major projects and communicate updates on a weekly basis
- Solve problems utilizing resources, peers and management at an appropriate level
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, 2 or 4 year technical degree will be considered
- 2 to 5+ years sales or marketing experience
- Ability to become proficient in MS Office and CRM platform
- Ability to excel in a team environment
- Must demonstrate self-motivation at a high level of independence
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving history
- Ability to travel throughout territory 75% of the time
- Fluent in English
